Ben and I had such a cultural weekend this past week–we had a Greek Orthodox wedding Saturday, followed by a Hindu wedding Sunday (that’s my next post). For Angelo and Nicole’s wedding, we also had the new experience of heading out to the Jefferson Memorial to take portraits! We typically don’t make it out to the monuments for portraits because you need a photography permit to have professional shoots and also because it can be time consuming to get out there and back. Luckily, Angelo and Nicole planned ahead, got a permit for us, and gave us plenty of time for the shoot. I didn’t expect there to be many people there since Jefferson is a little bit out of the way, but there were FOUR total wedding parties taking photos (we were the best…obviously).
