Longview Gallery Weddings | Melanie + Adam
December 6, 2016I can now say with certainty that Longview Gallery weddings are some of my favorite to photograph. Melanie and Adam had planned to do their first look and portrait session in Blagden Alley, behind Longview Gallery. However, after seeing how chilly it would be we made a last minute call to do portraits at the National Portrait Gallery. We were hit with a couple of surprises upon arriving to do the first look. First, there was a huge outdoor market at the front entrance with a ton of people. Second, the atrium was being decorated for a holiday party. Since the atrium lacked the privacy we wanted for Mel and Adam’s first look we chose to execute it on the outside balcony on the second floor of the gallery. So…still outside after all 🙂
I love that Ben and I were pushed out of our comfort zone (the atrium) and forced to explore other parts of the gallery. The third floor is full of contemporary art and had some beautiful light installations. The architecture of the building is just beautiful and I think I could have probably photographed there all day.

Very insightful pictures of everyone. I got a real sense of their emotions.
Also liked the way the pictures were composed. Nicely inventive.
Wow
The photos are unique, and showcase just how special and extraordinary Adam and Mel really are…
The photos are full of emotion with backgrounds that are complementary to the moment.
